Pickleball is a racket or paddle sport in which two players (singles) or four players (doubles) use a smooth-faced paddle to hit a perforated, hollow plastic ball over a 34-inch-high net until one side is unable to return the ball or commits a rule infraction. Court size is the same as that of badminton (44 x 20 ft). Pickleball is played indoors and outdoors. It’s one of the fastest growing sports all around the world. It's easy to pick up and suitable at any age.
RECCAA Club has set up one of the first Pickleball courts in Kerala (see the article below). It’s an indoor court at Bavasons auditorium. A large vibrant group of members regularly plays in the evenings and early mornings. Just drop in with a proper shoe (Tennis shoe or Badminton shoe) and join the game. Prior experience is not needed. Paddles and balls are available on request Periodic coaching is also arranged for players to acquire the right techniques from the beginning. Result is already in. One of our younger members, Calvin represented Kerala in nationals and won runners up!
