Ladies Forum
RECCAA Ladies forum” (RLS) is formed under the patronage of the RECCAA Club to provide its women members with opportunities for social interaction as well as to support service projects of the Club. To bring the Ladies of the RECCAA Club into a common forum. Objective of forum are:
- To function as a purely non-profit organization with the prime objective as Charity.
- To promote cultural, social and welfare activities among the ladies to develop a sense of tradition and heritage in the forum family.
- To provide a forum for the expression and exchange of views and to encourage talents.
- Through effective public relations, raise the profile of the Forum.
RECCAA Ladies Forum was formally launched and inaugurated by Mrs. Jaya Mam, IAS, ex-collector Thrissur on 1st November 2019. The 10 committee members nominated are steering the activities of the Forum. The steering committee organizes events every month for the benefit of members. Some of the events conducted are, Cooking class, Flower arrangement class, etc. and many more are on the pipeline
Flea market is organized, wherein various stalls like Dress materials, Homemade Food Items, Home Décor items, and Indoor Plants, etc. are put up by the members. A portion of the profit is donated by all participants for Charity needs.
A charity box is kept at the RECCAA Club Entrance, where reusable dress materials, toys, footwear, school bags, etc;- are collected and delivered to “Share and Care” which is purely a charity group collecting donations from in and around Kakkanad and distributing to the needy people.
RECCAA Club is at forefront in the service and upliftment of weaker section in the society. Club has taken up multiple charitable and other targeted activities ever since its inception. Ladies Forum is latest example of such an initiative. The forum has over 100 members now and is growing fast. All women members of the club are encouraged to be part of this.
