RCS - NITCAA Partnership

NITCAA is the alumni organization of NIT Calicut. Its Cochin chapter is one of the most active alumni organisations with several hundred of members and year-round programs and initiatives. Any alumni or faculty of NITC, living in Kochi, can become a member of NITCAA Cochin Chapter.

RCS is a separate organization managing RECCAA Club, governed by its own by-law.

RCS and NITCAA Cochin Chapter are sister organizations with a shared history and several common objectives. They have joined their hands in several programs and activities for the benefit of larger community. Two shining examples are:

Entrepreneur Lecture Series:
This program provides a platform for budding entrepreneurs and start-ups to listen and learn from experienced and successful people. Several such programs are conducted where experts, executives, influencers, and successful entrepreneurs share their experience. Lively open discussions and Q&A are often followed. Programs are held once a quarter at RECCAA Club and is open to all.

Flood Relief Activities:
Devastating flood of 2008 caused huge sufferings to many people. NITCAA and RCS joined hands together to provide relief and rehabilitation activities to many of them. Provisions and other essentials were collected and distributed to many of the most vulnerable. Two houses were built ground up and several houses were repaired for rehabilitating worst affected.

The Cochin chapter of the Regional Engineering College, Calicut (currently known as NIT), Alumni Association was formally inaugurated at a dinner meeting at A. M. Sadick's house on 15th August 1984, with about 140 people in attendance. It’s now known as NITCAA (NIT Calicut Alumni Association) – Cochin Chapter.
